LESSONS FROM THE MOVIES

One of my favourite lessons from Stallone's Life & Films is his never-say-die attitude, and his willingness to TRY, AND TRY AGAIN until you succeeds. For example in the Rocky movies we see him facing tough opponents, who are usually stronger and bigger than himself. But everytime he is knocked down, he gets up again and again, to fight back, which was truly inspiring sight.

Another important lesson is to know WHAT YOU REALLY WANT and to go for it. One of my favourite quotes in Over The Top, is Lincoln Hawk's advice to his son. "Mike, I want you to remember something the World Meets Nobody Halfway... if you want it, you've got to take it".

It is so simple and straightforward, yet many of us live in slf-denial. We want something, but we end up choosing something else. In the end we live a life of compromise because we feel unworthy of our dreams.
But Stallone's characters are usually the opposite. They are often focused, single-minded, determined, and they fight to the end until they succeed.

To live a powerful and coherent life, I think sometimes we have to ALLOW OURSELVES TO WANT WHAT WE WANT. This will eliminate self-doubts and and inner conflicts. True fulfillment comes where you can have your cake and eat it too.

All of Stallone's characters have something in common, which is THE EYE OF THE TIGER - the hunger and will to succeed.
From the moment we wake up, to the moment we take shower, go shopping, or driving, or sleep, there is always an inner voice that reminds us what we really want.
Stallone once said Rocky has a feeling, and awareness and a belief, and these are important keywords which leads to the path of self-realisation and fulfillment.

Today is a brand new day that brings with it a new set of challenges, and opportunities. What will you do to seize the day and make your life great?

Last but now least, everything in the Universe is here for a reason. And every living thing whether it is micro-organism, animals or plants are always fighting for a space for their continued survival and existence on Planet Earth.

So too are your dreams, your passion, your emotions your skills and talents. They too want to live and come into existence, and have their day under the sun, but will you allow them to exist today.

Dare to exist, and make your wildest dreams come true today. The truth will set you free.
